The AACC Annual Meeting and Exhibition was another successful event for us. As part of the Salt Reduction Module, Dinnie Jordan, Managing Director, Kudos Blends gave a lecture on sodium reduction trends in the UK, which offered the audience an interesting comparison between trends in the UK and the US.
The exhibition proved to be an immense success for us also with a lot of interest being shown in our potassium bicarbonate products. We took samples of the new HP Grade of KUDOS™ Potassium Bicarbonate with us for the exhibition and we were able to demonstrate its hydrophobic nature to fellow exhibitors and attendees. Seeing the water repellent nature of the Kudos products helped visitors to understand the products benefits and it also helped to dispel some of the myths associated with potassium bicarbonate as a stable product.
We are now members of the chemical leavening committee in the AACC, something which confirms our position as thought leaders in the industry. This committee is dedicated to providing common ground for research methods such as rate of reactions and chittick analysis. We are currently involved in a project that is looking to develop a shelf life method. We’re very much looking forward to making an impact on the committee and adding value to the committee’s initiatives.
